The dialogue between the natural and the artificial, as well as between the earthly and spiritual dimensions, viewed through the eyes of photographers who have examined the places, conflicts, and paradoxes that define contemporary life, reflecting on humanity’s complex position on the planet.
The cycle of exhibitions hosted by Rifugio Digitale on the theme of “SuperNatural”—conceived by Irene Alison and Paolo Cagnacci—represents a reflection that fuels contemporary living. It impacts both our relationship with space and the way we project ourselves into the future, amidst the perspective of an increasingly uncertain horizon marked by the climate crisis and epidemics.
The major conflicts of the Anthropocene will be explored visually and symbolically, articulating a journey in search of human nature in relation to the marks and footprints left by humanity on Earth: from the creative recycling of waste, to the rejection of the artificial in favor of a return to our roots, all the way to the theories of transhumanism and the inherent human need for transcendence and spirituality across every latitude and era.
