RIFUGIO DIGITALE AND FORMA EDIZIONI CELEBRATED THE CENTENARY OF VINCENZO AGNETTI

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Vincenzo Agnetti, the project Vincenzo Agnetti. Lavorare insieme è atto politico opened in Florence on February 13, 2026. The initiative was promoted by Forma Edizioni and realized with Rifugio Digitale and Teatro Nazionale di Firenze, in collaboration with the Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti. The project partner was the Associazione Paolo Scheggi, with technical support from Scena Urbana.

Structured around a publication, an exhibition, and a talk, the project offered an in-depth exploration of Agnetti’s work and thought, reaffirming the value of “working together” as a critical and political act.

The opening day began at 3:00 pm at Rifugio Digitale with a press conference presenting the project, followed by a VR Experience reserved for journalists. In the afternoon, from 3:00 to 5:30 pm, the public was able to visit the exhibition and, by reservation, access the immersive experience of the work Il Tempio. La nascita dell’Eidos (1971), a project by Vincenzo Agnetti and Paolo Scheggi. Never realized due to Scheggi’s premature death, the work has now been made accessible in digital and interactive form thanks to the project Today is not Today, conceived by Marco Senaldi.

The evening continued at 6:30 pm at the Teatro Nazionale di Firenze with the talk Vincenzo Agnetti. Lavorare insieme è atto politico, featuring Laura Andreini, Bruno Corà, Germana Agnetti, Cosima Scheggi, Ilaria Bignotti, and Marco Senaldi. The discussion fostered a multidisciplinary reflection on Agnetti’s intellectual and artistic legacy, exploring collaboration as a shared cultural practice and a form of political responsibility.

The exhibition will remain on view at Rifugio Digitale until March 4, 2026, from Wednesday to Saturday (11:00 am–7:00 pm), standing as an important opportunity to reconsider one of the most radical figures of late twentieth-century Italian art.
