BODYSCAPING: Dynamic Architectures for the Body
14.09 – 16.09.2023
Is a performative work by Massimo Bevilacqua that merges body, video installation and sound design through interactive technologies. The artist investigates the relationship between “clothing” and “dwelling,” exploring how our second skin communicates identity and our connection to space. The performer wears a sculptural garment equipped with sensors that trigger continuously shifting sonic and visual landscapes.
Sound, light and image expand and contract the figure, generating a dynamic architecture of the body. The sound project, developed with the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory, involves four young musicians in a live electronics performance.
The… piece unfolds in eight tableaux inspired by various urban and natural environments. The body symbolically traverses traffic, parks, industrial zones, the sea, airports, funfairs and nocturnal landscapes. The project also includes a video installation created with Alessio Bianciardi.
The work is part of MIGRAZIONI DIGITALI, an initiative by Teatro Studio Krypton that bridges performative arts and digital arts, and also features the VR performance Peaceful Places.
