From April 9 to May 11, 2025, Rifugio Digitale presents Bittersweet, a solo exhibition by photographer Sander Coers and the third chapter in the exhibition cycle The Body I Live In, dedicated to contemporary photography. The project, conceived by Irene Alison and curated by Irene Alison and Paolo Cagnacci, is organized in collaboration with Forma Edizioni and Associazione Infoto Firenze. There are summers you never forget. Summers where lazy afternoons stretch between restlessness and longing, and nights arrive bearing new promises. There are bittersweet summers when you grow up: every love feels eternal, every problem a tragedy, every desire a… and everything happens for the first time. Bittersweet by Sander Coers, third exhibition in the cycle The Body I Live In, curated by Irene Alison and Paolo Cagnacci, brings to Rifugio Digitale the Dutch photographer’s warm tones and saturated colors, along with his exploration of the uncertain bodies of young men.Drawing from his own memories, Bittersweet delves into the emotional landscape of adolescent males, presenting a cast of characters - mainly composed of the artist’s friends and family - who navigate the transformative journey toward adulthood.
